Angel Wars
We highly recommend VeggieTales! And, Not just for
kids; it's great for adults too!

When I first heard about VeggieTales, I thought, "How
ridiculous, talking vegetables." In '99, my son was 5,
we were at church, and they had the video,
Where's
God When I'm Scared
. I watched it with my son, and I
have been 'hooked' since. VeggieTales is done in a
fun, kid-friendly format, but because the
stories/lessons come from the Bible, they're good for
any age. I lost my job in October of last year. As you
know, the devil thrives on making us turn our eyes off
of GOD. Well, every time I began to feel a little down, I
put in the VeggieTales DVD,
Gideon Tuba Warrior,
which tells the stories of Gideon, and George Mueller.
Since it is presented in a light-hearted way, I was able
to smile and laugh, while being reminded to hold tight
to my Faith no matter what happens.
We highly recommend Angel Wars! Marketed for the
tween age group, it has great digital graphics.

I had seen Angel Wars advertised in Christian catalogs,
but I tend to be a little skeptical, because not everything
marketed as Christian, is Christian. I finally, came
across a sale on one of them and bought it. There is
not much detail about angels in the Bible, but with what
little we know about them, Angel Wars does good at
keeping in-line with the Bible. Angel Wars is fictional
stories, presented in a way to help kids and adults gain
a better understanding of what is going on in the battle
between Angels and demons, and the ultimate prize is
for the souls of mankind. The key verse associated with
the series is, "For He shall give His angels charge over
thee, to keep thee in all thy ways." Psalm 91:11

Seven people with some of the highest IQs in the
country are gathered together to solve the world's
problems in One night. This movie raises some very
good points, and a good movie to get people thinking.
the nativity story
"The Journey of a Lifetime, a Story for All Time."
We tend to be hesitant when it comes to "Biblical"
movies, because of the amount of leeway that
movie-makers like to take. But, this movie is very well
done. I think it stays
closely accurate to the Bible.
There is very
tasteful, subtle humor and sarcasm. (My
teen son really enjoys the wisemen.) An execellent job
was done in portraying them in a realistic manner,
while staying true to the Bible.
The Ten Commandments
Cecil B DeMille - 1956
There is little to no information on some specific
details, so the movie does take some leeway with
those details, and it does not address Moses' issue
with stuttering, but other than that it is an Excellent
telling of Moses and the Israelite's release from slavery
in Egypt. Other than where the Bible is not specific or
gives no details, this movie follows the Bible's account
of these events closely.

"A modern retelling of John Bunyan's classic story." An
excellent movie for a witness for family & friends, or for
encouragement and reassurance for yourself during
difficult times, that the reward is worth the hardships.

Duck Dodgers
w/Daffy Duck
Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and Marvin Martian have been
recreated in this funny, futuristic series. The basic story
line is patterned after the Buck Rogers stories, but in
Looney Toons style. The voices are good, and the
characters are true to the original characters created by
WB.

Fun, slapstick style humor, with modern twists (like
Star Wars, Star Trek - Wrath of Kahn, The Love Boat,
Pac-man and more).
Abbott & Costello
Bob the Butler
Anything Abbott & Costello. Old, yes, but still funny!! with
timeless, Clean Humor!
Starring: Tom Green & Brooke Shields
Very good, family-friendly movie! Absolutely no cussing,
or sex. It is about a guy who tries many, many jobs in
search of one that he is good at. He takes a short
course on being a butler, and becomes a butler for a
single-mother with 2 children. He's not the best butler,
but he tries hard to do right, take care of the family,
while helping each of the kids find something they are
good at, too.
Laurel & Hardy
Another Oldie, but still funny! Although, a lot of the
Laurel & Hardys are silent movies, they are still funny.
