I was a small child walking with Jesus around God’s kingdom.
Jesus is the bestest Big Brother ever. He tells me all about my Heavenly Father. And,
that my Father loves children so much that takes, into His house, any child that’s lost
and alone. But, my Father only takes them to His house if they want to come (because
not all of the kids want to follow His rules). I love it when Jesus tells me about our
Father. I haven’t actually met Him yet, but I know that Jesus is just like Him. Besides,
you know He has to be a good Father, because He takes in all of us, and provides for
each of us.
Jesus always takes care of me and protects me. One time, some really, really bad
people tried to take me with them. Jesus got between them and me, and would not let
them get me. They started yelling awful things at Him. He never moved; He just told
them about the love of the Father. But, they just kept yelling terrible things at Him and
making fun of Him. Then they started hitting Him with their hands. He never moved; He
just told them about the Love of the Father.
Seeing that He still would not move, they began hitting Him with whips and whatever
else they could find. He was bleeding so much, but He never moved; He just told them
about the love of the Father. He never raised a hand in defense or attack, but they
could not get passed Him.
They just got more and more mad. Some of them decided that if they tried to push
together they could get passed Him. As they began running toward Him, He simply
stretched His arms out and they couldn’t move Him. Then some of the others ran at
Him with hammer and nails and forced the nails in His hands and feet. He never moved;
He just told them about the love of the Father.
I just stood there crying and frozen. I was so petrified; I didn’t know what to do. Then
Jesus fell…then they stabbed Him while He was down, because they were so mad that
it took so much to make Him fall. I still couldn’t move – I couldn’t even make a sound. I
just stood there staring at Jesus. I just couldn’t believe it.
After a few minutes, I looked up and the bad people were just starting to move slowly
toward me, but watching Jesus to see if He would move. They were just about to step
passed Him, when He opened His eyes and stood up. I was so excited!
The bad ones were so scared they all ran away, except for one little boy who had fallen
to his knees. He had covered his face and was crying. Jesus asked him if he wanted to
come home with us. The little boy nodded his head yes. So Jesus picked him up, and
He took my hand and we went home. Jesus is the greatest Big Brother ever!
One day, Jesus was showing God’s children around His kingdom. We all loved to hear
Jesus tell us about our Father. While Jesus was talking this day, something kept going
back and forth outside. I wondered what it was, so I went to look. I couldn’t see very
well, so I stepped outside to see what was going on. It was people doing strange things.
I just looked for a minute then one of them saw me, and asked if I wanted to try any of
the things they were doing. I started to and then I realized what they were doing. They
were doing things that Jesus said not to do because it makes our Father’s heart sad.
I ran back in, but Jesus and the other children weren’t there. I knew they couldn’t be
far away, so I went looking for them…but I couldn’t find them. I felt Jesus in my heart,
but I couldn’t see Him. I had started crying, but kept looking.
I walked into this room with a big chair set high up in the room. A Man was sitting in it,
and He asked, “Why are you here?” I looked up at Him with tears so thick I could
barely see, and crying so hard that I could barely speak, but I answered Him, “I – was –
with – Jesus, -- and I – saw – weird – stuff – and I – was – just – curi-ous – I didn’t
mean to wander off. Then – when I – came back in – I – I couldn’t find Him. I know He’s
close, but I don’t – know where to look. I didn’t mean to look away!”
The Man picked me up and held me close, the way that any Daddy would pick up his
little one that was scared or hurt. It only took an instant for me to stop crying because I
realized that He was my Father. My head was lying on His shoulder as He carried me to
Jesus. He walked up to Jesus, and handed me to Him. The Father told Jesus in a very
kind and loving tone, “Protect My children.” Jesus answered Him, in the same tone,
“Yes Sir.” Then the Father looked at me and in the same kind and loving tone, “He will
bring you to Me when it’s time.” I said, “Okay,” then laid my head on Jesus shoulder.
Jesus held me for a minute then set me down. He lifted my face, and in that same kind
and loving tone, told me, “Stay close to Me.” I smiled and said, “Okay,” and I stayed by
His side. I have the coolest, most bestest Big Brother in the world – in the whole
universe.
Jesus is the Ultimate Big Brother! And when the time is right, He’s going to take me to
see our Father.

Thank You, God, because You love me! Thank You, for sending me Jesus!
Thank You, Jesus, for coming and helping me, and for taking care of me.
Thank You, Holy Spirit for staying with me all of the time.
Jesus, You are the Bestest Big Brother!
                              I love You!
The Ultimate Big Brother
