| In researching anything that could give explanation for symbolism (the older the symbolism the better), I also looked at symbolism as it pertains to mythologies. While looking at various mythologies and the gods associated with each, I found that the god Baal, was actually one of Noah's grandsons. He did not claim himself to be a god, but when he died, his wife Nimrod, declared that he was a god and was reincarnated in her son. I had never really thought much about where / how any of the mythologies originated. I began to look more closely at the "origins" of each of them. Although, the different mythologies/religions give them different names, I found that they all have 3 "main" gods which are the sons of a god and goddess. The rest of the gods / goddesses are married or descendants of the 3 "main" gods. In other words, all of the mythologies "originate" back to Noah & his wife, and their 3 sons. (Including the mythologies that date back to before the Greek and Roman mythologies.) ============================== So the thought occurred to me... The 3 "main" gods are the god of the sky (or mountain top), the sea, and the underworld (or land). What if the description of where the two beasts, in Revelation 13, originate from (beast from the sea, and beast from the land) is describing of which son of Noah they are descendant from. Of course, you would then need to be able to determine where each son went after the flood, for the information to be useful. But, I have read that Abraham was descendant from Noah's son Shem, which is were Shemetic originated, and eventually became Semetic and apply only to Jews, rather than to all of Abraham's descendants. Which leads me to believe that Shem went to what we call the Middle-East to settle down. |
